This is a required event for all new Exploratory Studies students!

Don’t miss #NCSTATE21 at Convocation!

Make sure you’re there when the Class of 2021 will come together for the first time as a class at Convocation in Reynolds Coliseum on Monday, August 14!

The Chancellor and Dr. Rupert Nacoste, NC State professor of Psychology, will kick off your time at NC State and welcome you to the Wolfpack during the opening ceremony of the academic year. Check below for all of the details and be sure to be at Reynolds Coliseum early to get your Convocation t-shirt!

Highlights of Convocation

  • Welcomes provided by Jackie Gonzalez, the Student Body President, and Chancellor Woodson
  • Address provided by Dr. Rupert Nacoste, NC State professor of Psychology (learn more below!)
  • Sing the Red and White Song and Alma Mater with the Power Sound of the South, NC State Marching Band
  • Get your 2017 t-shirt celebrating your first year at NC State!

Convocation Details

  • Date: Monday, August 14, 2017
  • Doors Open: 2:00pm
  • Start Time: 3:00pm
  • Location: Reynolds Coliseum

Student Information

  • Entrance: Students should plan to enter Reynolds Coliseum through the main doors on the north side of the Coliseum (the doors facing the railroad tracks).
  • Bring Your Wolfpack One Card (Student ID): Please have your Wolfpack One Card on hand for entry to Reynolds Coliseum. Convocation is limited to those students, faculty and staff affiliated with the university. Any individuals not affiliated with the university will be denied entry due to capacity in the Coliseum.
  • Security Announcement: Security will be checking bags prior to entry to Reynolds Coliseum and will NOT allow large bags into the Coliseum, so please plan accordingly!
