The Exploratory Studies Majors Exploration Series (MES) kicks off on Monday, September 19! Over the next month, our students will have opportunities to talk with advisors, faculty, and student ambassadors representing majors across each of the NC State’s colleges. College representatives bring literature and displays to showcase their programs, and students are able to ask questions and engage representatives 1-on-1 about their interests. Students in USC 101 are required to visit at least two college events, but many will visit 3 or more, in order to explore more potential interests and learn broadly. Way to go! The schedule of college events is here.
The MES is just one of many opportunities students will have to broaden their knowledge of majors and careers through the Exploratory Studies program. Parents and families can be tremendous partners for us in this work: Would you be interested in sharing your career path or information about your field, or providing opportunities for student job site visits or internships? Are there other ways you would like to volunteer? Please submit our interest form to let us know how you would like to be engaged this year!
